About Chakra Biotech

Our mission is to build a portfolio of intellectual property assets related to
new therapeutics and animal models for CNS disorders.

Chakra Biotech is focused on the development of drugs for CNS disorders, currently a USD50 billion market opportunity. Established in 2001, Chakra Biotech brings together two key intellectual property assets:
  • A world-wide exclusive license to a US-patented mouse model (the chakragati mouse) for dopamine dysfunction, validated as a model for screening antipsychotic compounds
  • A world-wide exclusive license to a library of novel compounds covered by five patents
Our unique behavioral screening model and lead compounds provides a solid foundation for creating important new CNS therapeutics.
